All events

October 2, 2021 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm ADT

As part of the EcoVision 2025 Strategy, the municipalities of Shediac, Beaubassin-est and Cap-Pelé are committed to promoting the planting of native trees in the region. They join forces to organize an event that will allow several residents to plant a tree in their yard.

On Saturday, October 2, citizens who participate in this event will receive a free tree by going to designated places in each of the three municipalities. They will also receive a guide to the native trees of the Acadian forest. This booklet contains information on the importance of native trees and also shows the steps involved in properly planting a tree.

The procedure for distributing of the trees will be first come, first served. The trees will not be reserved. There is a limit of one tree per residence. Citizens wishing to obtain a tree will have to bring proof of residence.

In addition, the municipality will have Sugar Maple trees and White Cedars for sale at a cost of $ 20. There is a limit of one tree per residence. Citizens wishing to obtain a tree will have to bring proof of residence.

* The distribution of native trees and the tree sale are reserved for residents of Shediac.
