As part of the Congrès mondial acadien 2019, a large gathering bringing together the Forest-Forêt-Forrest family will take place in Shediac, N.-B., on August 9 to 11.
Saturday – August 10, 2019
Morning : Visit to village of Pays de la Sagouine, Bouctouche
6:00 p.m. – 10 p.m. : Dinner at the Shediac Multipurpose Center
Dinner Speaker: Ronnie-Gilles LeBlanc, former Archivist at the Centre d’études acadiennes, Université of Moncton and Historian at Parks Canada Forest Family in South-East New Brunswick in the 18th and 19th Centuries (“The Forests of Beaubassin ” before 1755, those who escaped deportation, those who stayed in Acadia, meaning in the refugee camps, and those thereafter who established themselves in Québec, Louisiana, and Menoudie, Nova Scotia)

9:30 a.m. : Family business meeting, Haute-Aboujagne Community Center (next to church)
11:00 a.m. : Mass at Sacré-Coeur de Jésus de Haute-Aboujagne Church, Haute-Aboujagne
