Jacques Surette is a 21 year old folk singer/songwriter from theYarmouth Nova Scotia. He spends most of his time writing songs about his culture and his homeland. Surrounded by his guitar, banjo and harmonicas, Jacques has now integrated the keyboard into his compositions. He is a storyteller who charms his audience with his naturalness and simplicity. His music, with its folk-roots sound, blends perfectly with the unique accent that defines him. As his Acadian cultural identity allows, he writes songs in both French and English, to express as faithfully as possible the feelings and experiences he shares with his audience.
