Get ready for an unforgettable and out-of-this-world evening! Join the Cliff Valley Astronomy team for an astronomical night:
- Equipment Showcase
- Meteorite Collection
- Star Party with powerful and robotic telescopes
Astronomy enthusiasts will have the chance to view the following celestial objects:
- Saturn
- Nebulae
- Star Clusters
- Galaxies
With the latest technology, we will showcase objects that are usually not visible with standard optical telescopes. You'll also have the opportunity to capture images of galaxies and nebulae.
Schedule:
- 7:00 PM: Equipment demonstration and meteorite exhibition
- 8:15 PM: Brief break to set up telescopes for the Star Party
- 10:30 PM: Conclusion of the astronomical evening
Participants are asked to:
- Dress warmly as temperatures can drop quickly after sunset.
- Bring a camping chair for your comfort (optional).
- Limit the use of portable devices, especially the light/flash from your mobile device, to help your eyes adjust to the darkness for a better experience. Your eyes take about 30 minutes to adapt to the dark. Cliff Valley Astronomy team members will use red lights. Red light is the only type that won’t interfere with your eyes adjusting to the darkness.
