UmLäb is a band formed by members of Les Païens from Moncton NB. This new project is a mix of improvisation and composition where "looping" is the order of the day, creating a mix of electro-rock-jazz soundscapes. The result is a vast creative space that emerges, offering a canvas for the four artists to collectively add or remove their musical elements at will in real time. This creative universe invites and encourages spontaneous composition inspired by the "UmLäb collective influence database" which has its roots in 70's prog-funk, late 90's trip hop and house, post rock, math rock and clam rock.
