Various artefacts and photos showing technological advancements as well as other significant moments in Shediac’s railway system are on exhibit at the museum. The building’s interior was restored in 2015 to recapture the essence of its original state.

We operate from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., sometimes later during events. Free to walk through. Perhaps you will find a treasure to take home or gift for someone else. Maison Historique Pascal-Poirier House

Maison Historique Pascal-Poirier House

This museum has a dual mission: pay tribute to this remarkable figure who was Senator Pascal Poirier (1852 -1933) and ensure the upkeep of this typical Acadian house. The house was the birthplace and childhood home of Pascal Poirier, prominent leader and Acadian author who became, in 1885, the first Acadian to be appointed to the Canadian Senate. Built around 1825, this house is likely the oldest house in Shediac.
